Amazon Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) is a compact smart display with a 5.5" screen and Alexa built in. It shows the time, weather and news at a glance, plays music, podcasts and shows with deeper bass and clearer vocals than the prior model, and controls compatible smart home devices such as lights and thermostats. A built-in 2 MP camera supports video calls and home check-ins, while a mic and camera off button and a built-in camera shutter protect privacy. When idle it can display a rotating photo slideshow. Its small footprint makes it a thoughtful desk, nightstand or kitchen gift.
